Renault, the French automaker recently unveiled the Trezor, voted as the most beautiful concept car of 2016 at the 32nd Festival Automobile International in Paris. The car was a stunner when it rolled on stage and the jury decided that the award should go to this car because of the beauty, sensuality and elegance it exudes.
The lines of the Renault Trezor are warm, sensuous and refined, while its assertive front end incorporates signature C-shaped lights. Renault’s upcoming models will draw their inspiration from the Trezor’s DNA as their forms become even more fluid and mature. It is the epitome of a concept car and is sure to inspire Renault’s future road going models.
The two-seater electric coupe features some of the most unique styling we’ve ever seen. The interior comes in a striking red color and features a large enveloping touchscreen display that reinforces the cockpit feel. Further complementing the design is the clamshell-like roof that opens up “much like a jewelry box” to give passengers access to the interior.
Designed and engineered by Formula E engineers, the Trezor concept pumps 350 equivalent horsepower and 380 torque out of its fully electric engine. It can go from 0-100 kilometers per hour in less than four seconds.
Sadly, this breathtaking concept remains what it is: a concept car that may never see the open road. However, the technology built into these vehicles often finds its way onto the production line in some form or the other. It would be thrilling to see a car with at least half of the Trezor’s DNA hit the open road.
